Some Leftover Questions from 2007

As the new season enters, there were a few questions left unanswered from the previous season. Let’s try to answer some of them. These are just from personal opinion and not official.

What happens to “Pacman” Jones? It would be hard to imagine the suspended cornerback wearing a Titans uniform. If he doesn’t mess up this time, he may be reinstated eventually during the season, and someone will most likely get him because of his skills.

Will Michael Strahan have another season left? This is really tricky, since he almost retired before the season. He had been pretty vague about this issue so far.

What about Brett Favre, will he go back to the Packers? With the quality of his performance, Favre could very well continue to be part of the team, specially now that the Packers may be looking into a championship. With his age, though, he did not commit himself yet to play for the next season. He would have to decide quickly.

Finally, will Chad Johnson be traded? The Bengals have said they will not trade him. However, Johnson’s not so good relationship with the team’s manager may hurt the Bengals more than they realize, and Johnson himself has expressed verbally that he does not want to be a Bengal.

NFL’s Best Dad Award

Eli, Peyton, and Cooper Manning all agree on one thing. They have the best father in the world. Archie Manning, came to New York to support his son in the game. After the Super Bowl was done, the Giants went back to the hotel to party. As he was waiting at the airport, he was trying to catch a show on television that showed his son Eli. A year ago, he was supporting Peyton when he was playing for the Colts.

When asked what he would do if two sons were to play on opposite teams for the Super Bowl, he grimaced and said he didn’t know. It would be tough to know who to root for and support. He would stand at center field and root for both of them just like a father should. Archie himself was quarterback for the New Orleans Saints so long ago. So he says with a tear in his eye that football is in their blood and what they know. He is quite proud of the boys and hopes they keep on digging deep and taking the challenges that come their way and keep
