Dolphins dismiss rumors of Ronnie Brown Trade

 

The Miami Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano dismissed all the rumors regarding the injured running back Ronnie Brown saying that there was no chance of a possible trade. Ronnie’s been suffering from a right thumb injury that is keeping him away from pre-season practice. The Dolphins have registered Ricky Williams as their running back and there were news in the transfer market that they were looking for a possible trade out for Brown. Sparano said that Ronnie was there to stay and would compete with Williams for a spot in the team. Brown rushed 602 yards and 4 touchdowns last season before missing the last 9 games due to a knee injury.

The preseason has been as exciting as ever. With all the transfers and trading going on, the preseason has really set the tone to expect a fantastic season. The transfer of Brett Favre and Chad Pennington has been all over the news and Tom Brady is expected to relive the magical season that he had last year. Dolphins sign Pennington

Chad Pennington who was let off by the New York Jets after the signing of Favre has now been signed by Miami Dolphins for a 2 year deal. An insider reported that the deal was worth $11.5 million, though the Dolphins have not announced it publically yet. Chad Pennington struggled last season with the Jets going 1-7 as starter and was benched from week 8 onwards. Pennington said that he had no regrets about what had happened to him at New York and has grown as both a player and human being at his 8 year stint at NY. The only thing disheartening was that that he was no longer required by the team that he had served for so long.

Colts happy to see Gary Brackett practice

The linebacker of the Indianapolis Colts team and a regular starter, Gary Brackett, has started practicing since last Thursday after recovering from a groin injury and has joined his teammates for the first time for this season’s training camp. Tony Dungy, the coach of Indianapolis Colts, is very happy to see Brackett practicing and will be watching carefully on how good his groin holds during the rigorous training sessions. The Colts management is very happy to see their best linebacker take the field and is hoping for better things from him this NFL season. There are still some tickets left for some of the Colts games. 

Panther’s WR Smith sent home after picking on brawl with Lucas

The most important and in form wide receiver of the Carolina Panthers team, Steve Smith, has got only his short temper to blame, as he was kicked out of the training camp on Friday after he had punched his teammate Ken Lucas close to his left eye. The reason for the brawl between Smith and Lucas is unclear, but the Panthers management has decided to take a call on this issue and will deal the matter internally. The fight was picked up at the side lines during the special drills session and it got worse when the players took the field. The tickets to most of the Panthers games are sold out and Smith’s fans hope to their best wide receiver from the first game of the NFL season.

Clemons released from hospital

The defensive end of the Philadelphia Eagles ! Chris Clemons had to spend last Tuesday in hospital as he suffered from severe heat related dehydration. He was taken to the hospital in an ambulance from the Eagles practice field in the morning. Clemons was taken off the practice field on Tuesday morning and was administered intravenous fluids. But as he did not respond, he was taken to the hospital. The temperatures are on the rise in Pennsylvania and recorded about 80 last Tuesday. Clemons after his brief stint in the hospital has returned to the training camp. The Eagles fans, who had already bought the tickets for the new season, are expecting this NFL season to be one of the best in the recent years.
