Witten: In or out?

Jason Witten of the Dallas Cowboys has a broken rib.  It hurts to breathe. He has trouble sleeping.  But he wants to play this weekend against the defending Super Bowl champs, the New York Giants.  So far, the doctors have said a resounding NO, but Witten himself says that it is ultimately a game-time decision by him and the trainers as to whether he plays.  Witten has had a good season thusfar.  He is the NFC leader in catches made, and several of those catches have been very important to his team.  In the home opener, he made catches that set up a field goal and scored the winning touchdown, all with an injured shoulder.  To a Cowboys team already riddled with injuries (see: Tony Romo), his loss is yet another blow to what was supposed to be a big season. But he wants to play!
