Atlanta Falcons re-signs Quarterback Redman

The Quarterback, Redman, of the Atlanta Falcons must be a happy man after hearing the news that the Birds have re-signed him into the team. He was spending three seasons without playing football and it was the Birds who signed him to play in their team in the 2007 season. Redman said that he expressed his sincere thanks to his head coach Mike Smith, Arthur Blank and Thomas Dimitroff for keeping the faith in him and said that he was looking forward to the renewed stint for the Falcons this season. Redman played the last 4 games for the Birds in the last season and was also named as the Offensive Player of the Week in the match between Falcons and the Seattle team.

Redman was the 75th pick in the 2000 NFL Draft and did not play much in the first two seasons for the Ravens. His severe back injury kept him away from most of 2002 season and was released after just 2 games in 2003. Redman again came into the spotlight only after it named him in the Dec 10 game against New Orleans. Redman says that it is important for a player to shine on the day he gets the opportunity to play or else he will not be in a position to predict where his next opportunity will come from. He says that he accepts whatever that comes his way and treats it as a blessing.
