TO Shocked

Terrell Owens was completely shocked by his release from the Dallas Cowboys earlier this month. The word that he used was ‘blindsided’ and he thought he shouldn’t be put into the position of having to leave. He heard all the rumors and went to Jerry Jones, who said that he would stay with the Cowboys on into the next season. This is his version of the story. Jones, for his part, says that they have a good relationship and regrets that they were unable to keep him for the remainder of the contract. After several weeks since he moved to Buffalo, Owens is now speaking out to get his word into the ring. But, to be fair, he wasn’t too whiny about it, like one might have expected. He was just upset and wanted to get his perspective out there.

Cowboys Trading, Suspending, Breaking

The story of the Dallas this last week can be summed by these three words: Trade, Suspend, Break. In quite a surprising move on their own behalf (as well as the Lions), Dallas acquired Roy Williams from the Detroit Lions earlier this week. Adding in a star receiver like that when they already have one in Terrell Owens is somewhat perplexing, especially when they really need some more defensive strength, considering Pacman Jones’ situation. Defensive back Adam “Pacman” Jones was suspended indefinitely from the team after getting into a little scuffle with his own body guard. However, the biggest change for the Cowboys was when Tony Romo broke his right pinkie last Sunday against the Redskins. His condition is labeled as a game-time decision, but they may have to revert to backup QB Brad Johnson. Find out more Dallas information by visiting the Cowboys website.

Adam Jones allowed to practice with the Cowboys

The NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has allowed the suspended cornerback Adam Jones to join his Dallas Cowboys team’s practice sessions and has also allowed him to take part in the pre-season games as well as training camps. But, there is no concrete declaration about Pacman, nickname for Adam Jones, playing the regular season for the Cowboys team. Jones said that he was pretty confident that he will be allowed to play this season and will give his best for the team this season. Jones fans are hoping to hear the good news pretty soon and have already purchased tickets to the Cowboys games in anticipation of him making to the team roster.

Owens Sued Over Unpaid Bonus Money

Due to a matter pertaining to owed bonus money, Terrell Owens, former wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles, is being sued by his ex-team, said official sources on Monday. Owens, or more fondly known by his initials T.O., is notably one of the most daring and talented NFL players who always made his opinions heard. However, neither he nor his agent Drew Rosenhaus, can be reached for comments about this disturbing issue.

The Philadelphia Eagles and their lawyer filed the $770,000 suit in US District Court. Previously, Owens lost in arbitration during the first quarter of 2008, and now he is being instructed to repay approximately $1.7 million in bonuses that was given to him throughout the years 2004 and 2005 before he joined the Dallas Cowboys. Halfway through 2005, he was suspended due to detrimental conduct. It does not matter that he led the Eagles to numerous victory and got them into the Super Bowl. He was denied a grand total of $965,000 in salary after the unfortunate suspension.
