New York Giants on a signing spree

 

Three draft choices quarterback Andre Woodson, linebackers Jonathan Goff and Bryan Kehl were signed by the New York Giants on Tuesday. Since quarterback Jared Lorenzen was waived off by the Giants last Monday, there is all possibility that Woodson would replace him in the team for the upcoming season. The former University of Kentucky player, Woodson, is also aware of the same and is waiting for the yes from the team management. Woodson is confident that he can easily fit into the Giants thick of things and is raring to make an impression on the coaching staff once he gets his foot on the Giants ground. The Giants fans will be buying tickets for the games to watch these new players show their best talent in the upcoming NFL season. 

Giants sign defensive end Robert Henderson

The sixth round pick of the New York Giants defensive end Robert Henderson has been signed to play for the Giants this season and has been drafted into the side in place of recently retired player Michael Strahan. Henderson had played a total of 46 games for the Southern Mississippi team and had recorded 115 solo tackles during his stint there. He is the best choice for the defensive end position for the Giants and is happy that he will be playing in the NFL season this year. Any die hard NFL fan will be rushing to get his share of tickets for the games this season. 

Giants’ defensive end Strahan retires

Michael Strahan, the New York Giants defensive end, has bid adieu to the NFL after being associated with it as a player for 15 seasons. Strahan in his final news conference said that it was the right time for him to quit the game and thanked the Giants fans as well as his teammates for the excellent support they have given him over the years. He was happy that he is ending his career after seeing his team through to the Super Bowl title in 2007. The Giants’ fans buying tickets to watch their best team compete in the upcoming season will be saddened that they will not be able to see Michael Strahan in the Giants uniform anymore.

Giants fans engulfs Manhattan on parade day

The New York Giants fans were present in large numbers at the lower Manhattan streets to witness the parading of the Super Bowl trophy last Tuesday. There was a party like atmosphere in the Manhattan streets as many loyal Giants fans flocked the streets to witness their champion players. Michael Strahan, the defensive end of Giants, said that he still is feeling the shock of holding the trophy in his arms. The Giants players were pleased to parade the trophy in front of their fans and many players were carrying their video cameras to record these joyous moments.

 

The New York Giants are one of the best teams in the NFL today and the caliber of their players can be assessed by the numerous victories and the Super Bowl Cup victory that they have achieved. The Super Bowl Cup parade began at Battery Park in lower Manhattan and passed through the World Trade Center site and the financial district and ended up at the City Hall Park.
